Depends on your video project whether we do all the filming, interviews, etc… here at the studio or at your office. In most cases, I need to film at least your B-Roll or scene setters of your office space, machines running, staff and customers interacting, etc… there in person which means bringing equipment to your office for production. This will require some time – 1 to 8 hours of filming different clips and segments and setting up different angles, so can be simple or very involved.

In some cases, much of the filming can be conducted here at the studio to save time and production costs…plus it is less intrusive to your office. Although I will say it is more meaningful to the public for a professional to be filmed in their own environment, doing the very thing they are promoting.

Interviews are a “sit down” chat with perfect portrait lighting on 1 person, with separate audio captured and synced in post production and can be filmed at the studio or on location. The person can speak with or without a script (depending on project and purpose). 2 cameras (different angles/crop) can be utilized if needed as well. Rates will vary from $150-$450 depending on variables and level of post production needed.

I have sliders and a crane jib to mount the cameras on to capture slow, soft movements to add a polished look to the final video. The large variety of lenses I own and use will also add a creative style to the closeups or macro and a cinematic look if we are after that look. The B-Roll footage is very important to capture different aspects of your product or service and can be used in the current video project AND future projects too, so its an investment that can be used many times.

Post production in Premiere Pro can take a couple days or several weeks depending on the complexity of the project. Think of this process as a chef preparing a 5 course meal. It takes all day to cut, dice, slice ingredients, roll dough while something else is marinating…then finally when he is actually cooking…its bringing all those individual parts together to make a creative, polished, finished product. It takes time and a whole lot of labor. Fortunately, its a labor of love for me.

The cameras capture full, high definition 1920x1080p video to run on HD TV commercials, DVDs and downsized to play on your website. The audio is captured separately with a pro lapel mic and professional voice actors can read your scripts if you prefer as well. The continuous lights are cool and comfortable to work under so neither you nor your makeup will melt as in the old days under hot lights. The raw footage, special effects, overlays, transitions, sounds, music, and audio is all edited in the professional editing program Adobe Premiere Pro.
